Mark and Ellie Freedman are the proprietors and are ready to greet and serve you every day. Mark’s first taste of the restaurant business 40 years ago proved to be one to savor. Working with his family's steakhouse at Myron & Phil’s. Four decades later, Freedman’s passion for the food industry has not changed but only got better. To him food is love. Ellie joined the team after they got married. Her previous experience in business and in the food service industry provided a natural transition to the family business. After a fire in their previous restaurant, Myron and Phil’s they needed a new home. They found the corner of Touhy and Caldwell in Niles, Illinois as the site for their new restaurant. Wildwood Tavern opened in late August. They provide their customers with an exceptional dining experience and friendly, attentive service like no other. The menu reflects the best of smoked barbeque, burgers, salads, and great appetizers along with a great selection of locally sourced craft beer, bourbon, and cocktails. They even have their own Wildwood Vodka that is locally distilled.
We smoke our own meats; create our own special sauces and seasonings from scratch. And serve it up with love. Each menu item has the Wildwood Tavern stamp of approval for quality and freshness. Our food is guaranteed fresh, homemade goodness with unsurpassed taste and quality. There are over 30 seats at the bar where customers can enjoy a few drinks, appetizers, and dinner all while watching their favorite sports teams on the large screen TVs.
There are three dining rooms, a screened-in porch, and an outdoor patio located at the Wildwood Tavern. We feature craft beers from local breweries as well as old-time favorites. We have 20 beers on draft and over 30 beers in bottles and cans. The alpine décor creates a relaxing environment for family, friends, and community to gather. Stop by and feel the love!
